On February 10, at Zhejiang Haoyou Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in Jiantiao Town, Sanmen County, nine Bangladeshi crew members who stay temporarily for cargo ship repair were immersed in a unique and festive Chinese New Year atmosphere. Aminul Islam, one of the crew members , excitedly showed his family the freshly made dumplings via WeChat video call, sharing the joy of the moment.

As the Spring Festival approaches, people are eager to return home. But they could not go back due to work. The Sanmen County Media Center and Jiantiao Town Government made early arrangements and held a Spring Festival cultural exchange event themed "Cultural Exchange, Warm Companionship" to ensure the foreign crew feeling the warmth of the festive atmosphere far from home.

The event was filled with the fragrance of ink. Foreign crew gathered around the table, watching with great interest as teacher Zhang Hongxiao practiced Chinese calligraphy. Encouraged by him, the crew carefully picked up brushes and copied Chinese characters such as Fu (blessing) and Ma (horse). One of the crew members held up his finished work excitedly, saying he would take it back to his hometown. Volunteers explained the auspicious meanings of the Spring Festival couplets in detail, allowing the crew to appreciate the beauty of Chinese characters while understanding the wishes for reunion and a bright future.

The dumpling-making activity was full of fun. Faced with dumpling wrappers and fillings, the crew were curious and enthusiastic. Under the step-by-step guidance of volunteers, Abdul Shukkur focused on making his first-ever "ingot-shaped dumpling". He laughed and said it was more challenging than ship repairing but extremely enjoyable. Soon, the plates were filled with uniquely shaped "international-style dumplings". Everyone sat together, tasting the food and sharing their own hometown festival traditions. Then traditional cuisine became a warm bond connecting foreigners and Chinese.

At the end of the event, the "Caring Media" public welfare team presented the crew with warm gift bags filled with local specialties, including seaweed cakes, hairtail crisps, rice candies, and local black tea. Captain Mohammed Shamim said thankfully: "This is my first time to celebrate the Chinese New Year in China. I never expected it to be so warm and interesting. Everyone is so hospitable, and this place feels just like home!"
